Despite the constant bullying, Byn and Dakota from the Skyhoppers have returned again to discuss their spoiler-filled thoughts about the Tempest Runner audio drama by Cavan Scott. We discuss how this compared to previous Star Wars audio dramas, Lourna Dee’s journey, the physiology of blurrg, and, of course, Marchion Ro’s mouthbreather of a voice.
Welcome to the Podralorian, the Rogue Podron spinoff where we discuss Star Wars television. Except on this episode, we are discussing a Star Wars book based off of Star Wars television. And we are joined by extra special guest, Emma Mieko Candon, the author of Ronin!
In this spoiler filled episode, we pick Emma’s brain about the process for writing Ronin in conjunction with the series, the Japanese influence in the novel, the queer representation, the BONES representation, and so much more.
Huge thanks to Emma for being our guest – be sure to check out all their pages on Linktree!
Danny is joined by Podron friend and besalisk super-expert Dillon to discuss the first five issues of Marvel’s The High Republic comic series. Together, they talk about the tongue-twisting pair of Sskeer and Keeve, the strengths of using comics as a storytelling medium in the High Republic era, the joys of seeing the drengir in visual form, and much more!
Danny is joined by Skyhopper sibs Byn and Dakota to discuss their spoiler-filled thoughts about The Rising Storm by Cavan Scott. We discuss all the characters, our leveler theories, and of course, Wet Bub.
We’re finally wrapping up the Alphabet Squadron trilogy and we thought the best way to get answers to our lingering questions was to go directly to the source, Alexander Freed himself! If he were a natural disaster, which would he be and why? Where did the idea for the therapist torture droid come from? And, perhaps most importantly, who gave him the right to break our hearts over and over like that?! All this and so much more on this episode of Rogue Podron!
We welcomed Megan from Den of Geek to join us for a very special State of the Squadron, as we revisit the journeys of all of our favorite Alphabet Squadron characters (and also Nord Kandende). Where did they come from? Where did they go? Where did all this trauma come from, Cotton Eyed Joe?
Byn joins us for our continued journey through the darkest timeline. This episode is all about Dark Empire II. I feel like this one requires a content warning and also…you know what kind of humor to expect from us by now.
This week’s glistener question: If you designed a murderbot, what ridiculous name would you give it and what would its specialty be?
To wrap up the monumental season 17, we decided to get together with our favorite podfather and Space Jam fanboy Austin for a viewing of our favorite Star Wars film: Space Jam. Grab the popcorn, put on the film, and join us as we dissect Looney Tunes canon, learn about how basketball works, and cringe at the many things that haven’t aged super well about this otherwise impeccable Star Wars film.
ROGUE PODRON LIVE: Friday, August 28, 8:30 pm est. Link will be tweeted at that time.
